AGU session on diagenesis (including clumped isotopes)

15 Jul 2016

Hi all,

We have a session at AGU that may be of interest to members of this forum, titled “Diagenesis and its effects on geochemical records” (Session ID: 12657). The purpose of this session is to bring together geochemists from multiple disciplines who study the myriad chemical processes which occur after the emplacement of sediment (diagenesis). One focus of discussion will be on the application of geochemical tools towards studying the mechanisms and rates of these reactions, including tools such as clumped isotopes. Additionally, submissions which assess the ways in which these chemical reactions can affect geochemical records, as well as potential approaches towards correcting for these effects, are encouraged.

Invited speakers are Greg Henkes and David Fike.

We would be delighted to hear from some other members of the clumped isotope community!

Abstracts can be submitted using the AGU portal at https://agu.confex.com/agu/fm16/pp/papers/index.cgi?sessionid=12657

We look forward to seeing you all at the AGU Fall Meeting this December in San Francisco!

Sincerely,

Clara Blättler, William Defliese, Philip Staudigel, and Ian Winklestern
